John Gargasz (http://www.miralon.com/) is a serial entrepreneur who consistently asks the question “Why not?” He spent the first part of his career working with his father to help grow the family owned defense company, Codem Systems, where he specialized in satellite and wireless communications. After the sale of the company in 2005, John took part in multiple ventures including: real estate development in NH and Florida, angel investing in early stage companies, and coaching non-profits as an advisor to the Entrepreneurs Fund of NH. He currently serves as Managing Director of Nanocomp Technologies Inc., a NH- based advanced materials company. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!) and is an enthusiastic outdoorsman — and now a part time farmer, making maple syrup and growing corn with his wife, Laura, two teenage children and willing neighbors and relatives. In his current role at Nanocomp he is committed to having a positive impact on the plant… because, “Why not?”
