Barriers, both physical and attitudinal, are everywhere but we are blind to most of them. Todd Hanson dedicated his career to applying experiential research to understand the needs of individuals with physical and emotional challenges. But as a competitive athlete, what did he really understand? Now living with a degenerative neuromuscular disease that leaves him unable to walk or speak, he’s discovered what people with disabilities encounter everyday of their lives. Todd passionately shares his insights to better our communities and society as a whole. A Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, Todd practices architecture from beautiful Portsmouth, NH.
