For 1.5 million years, African elephants have walked the continent of Africa. Their deep wisdom and the secure attachments that begin the minute a newborn arrives have been passed down through countless generations. Since 1991, Stephen Gianotti has had the privilege to be up close and personal with the African elephant as a student of their wisdom, an admirer of their generosity, and an advocate for their sustainable survival.
