Denise is a local educator, writer, grassroots community advocate, and arts supporter. As a founding member of Share Our Strength Portsmouth and Fill the Hall, she has helped raise more than $2 million to fight childhood hunger on the Seacoast. Her fingerprints are also on the Portsmouth Halloween Parade, dozens of shows celebrating local music, and efforts to preserve White Island Lighthouse at the Isles of Shoals. She is a contributing editor to two local history books, a parent of a recent college grad, and The Minister of Fun for Portsmouth NH 400, which is overseeing the city’s 400th anniversary in 2023.
