TEDxPortsmouth is pleased to announce that Gather, the Greater Seacoast’s largest hunger relief organization, will prepare lunch for more than 900 attendees at The Music Hall for TEDxPortsmouth 2026.
This collaboration reflects the power of ideas in action—bringing together two long-standing community partners, TEDxPortsmouth and The Music Hall, alongside Gather’s mission to nourish the community in welcoming and dignified ways.
Through this partnership, TEDxPortsmouth is purchasing meals directly from Gather, supporting the work of its culinary team, who prepare fresh, healthy meals for community members every day. This year’s lunch goes beyond simply feeding guests—it tells a story of what’s possible when community and culinary craft come together, featuring a vibrant harvest bowl that reflects both nourishment and care.
At the center of Gather’s work is its production kitchen, where rescued and repurposed food is transformed into more than 10,000 nourishing meals each month—ensuring that healthy, high-quality food reaches those who need it most. This work is complemented by Gather’s teaching kitchen, home to the Fresh Start culinary workforce training program, where individuals facing barriers to employment build skills, confidence, and a pathway forward through an eight-week program focused on both knife skills and life skills.
Through these efforts—and through partnerships and community-centered culinary events—Gather brings people together around food in ways that create both nourishment and opportunity, demonstrating the power of kitchens to foster connection, dignity, and lasting change.
Please join us at The Music Hall to experience the difference Gather brings to TEDxPortsmouth 2026.
