Jeff Stern is a filmmaker and senior lecturer in media and culture at Bentley University. His films have played all over the country, including his hometown New Hampshire Film Festival. His Digital Fasts have received press coverage in The Boston Globe, on WBUR and in The Portsmouth Herald. His 2016 talk at Creative Mornings went viral and inspired people all over the world to reconsider their digital habits. In 2016 and 2017, he helped coordinate the Seacoast Digital Fast and is at work on a follow-up event for 2018. He lives in Portsmouth with his wife and two sons, and can often be found performing at Beat Night at Portsmouth Book and Bar. He spoke about “Going on a Digital Fast” at TEDxPiscataquaRiver in 2017.
